Spanning six action-packed minutes, Dead War‘s latest trailer (seen above) introduces us to war-ravaged Europe circa 1945. Undead Hitler is caput. He was killed at the end of the Zombie Army Trilogy. Unfortunately for humanity, his shambling horde still haunts the land, this time with a little help from a new cadre of malefactors wearing goat skulls.

While we don’t know the details of Dead War‘s story, we do know that the game will have a fairly hefty campaign mode, which can be played alone or with up to three friends in 4-player co-op. Locations include the canals of Venice, a zoo, and a town in the shadow of a volcano, presumably somewhere in Italy.

Enemies include the zombie hordes fans have come to expect from the series, including melee hordes, ranged enemies, and tough-as-nails elites that wield everything from flamethrowers to chainsaws. However, there are some new additions to the roster, including zombie sharks and zombie tanks. Yes, literal zombified tanks.

Though the gameplay trailer doesn’t show off Dead War‘s entire arsenal, it does give fans a look at some of the series’ more well-known zombie killers, such as the Thompsom submachine gun and the trusty Karabiner 98k sniper rifle. Staying in line with both the Zombie Army Trilogy and the Sniper Elite games the series is based on, X-ray bullet-time also makes a comeback.

Horde mode makes a return, where up to four players can stand against relentless rounds of increasingly difficult enemies. As in the game’s campaign mode, Rebellion says that the levels are massive, full of twists and turns ripe for traps and ambushes.

Players will also unlock dozens of perks, weapons upgrades, and item improvements across a 100-level progression system. The 101 gameplay trailer also makes mention of cosmetics and alludes to emotes, though it does not go into any specifics.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is set to release on February 4 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It is an Epic Store exclusive on PC. Those who pre-order the game will automatically receive the Undead Airman Character Pack.

The Super Deluxe Edition of Dead War includes three additional campaign levels, 9 weapon bundles, 5 weapon skin packs, 4 character packs, and 4 character outfit bundles.
