The newest patch notes for the last build of the PTR for World of Warcraft 5.3 have been released. There’s quite a few interesting tidbits, but I’ll leave that for you to see:
PvE
In terms of quests, for the Strength of One’s Foes, all bosses in Mogu’shan Vaults, Heart of Fear, and Terrace of the Endless Spring now have a chance to drop either Sigils of Power or Wisdom when players loot them.
A few dungeons have seen their minimum level requirements lowered: Gate of the Setting Sun now has a normal version which is available at level 89; Grim Batol and Lost City of the Tol’vir are now available at level 84; Magisters’ Terrace and Mechanar are now available at level 68.
PvP
It is now harder to get more damage from pumping PvP power. If you want to see a 1% increase in damage, you will need to put in 400 points (up from 265).
Gems that give PvP Power and Resilience have now had their numbers cut in half.
Glorious Conquest Quartermasters have made their return.
Players will now have to choose a spec when queuing up for random battlegrounds (thank the gods). This is done in order to provide a better balance for teams.
Class Changes
The Death Knight talent Gorefiend’s Grasp now affects up to a maximum of four players. Its previous unlimited cap on NPCs has not been changed.
Festering Strike and Unholy Might are getting nerfed with Festering only doing 175% weapon damage (down from 200%) and Unholy only granting an increase of strength by 10% (down from 15%.) Conversely, Scourge Strike is getting buffed and now deals 165% weapon damage (up from 135%.)
The Rogue talent Cloak and Dagger now requires that the rogue be stealthed using Stealth: Shadow Dance and it will not remove stealth. Shuriken Toss now deals 100% more weapon damage on its first strike, but its energy cost has increased to 40 (up from 20) and it no longer does double damage if the targets are 10 yards away.
Revealing Strike‘s duration has been increased to 24 seconds (up from 18.) Find Weakness has been buffed for PvE and nerfed for PvP: it now ignores 100% of the target’s armor if it’s an NPC and only 50% if it’s a human player (changed from 70% for both.)
The Warlock talent Blood Terror now no longer goes off if a pet attacks the warlock.
Other
All the different colored Tiny Carp are tradeable and can be caught more than once.
Heirloom shields are now stocked by Justice Heirloom Vendors.
You can now use your Sunreaver and Kirin Tor Beacons from inside the Throne of Thunder.
Dungeon Journal‘s model view is now available in a sub-tab. It has been replaced with a list of bosses for the selected dungeon or raid.
