Here's how to rebind your controls in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor — How to Remap Controls on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Here's how to rebind your controls in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

I was glad to learn that you can remap controls in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but even happier to see the same breadth of functionality return from Fallen Order. Indeed, there’s complete control over which inputs do what, giving a vast degree of freedom in how you play. Here’s how to rebind controls on PlayStation 5 and Xbox platforms.

How to Edit and Rebind Control Inputs in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Luckily, editing and rebinding controls on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S is a cinch. Here’s what to do.

  • Pause the game.
  • Tab over to the Gear Icon in the top nav bar.
  • Scroll down to “Controller.”
  • Press the right D-pad to highlight “Edit Controls.”
  • Choose that option.
  • Then hit the right D-pad to move into the inputs list.

From here, you can select individual actions and remap them.

  • Simply highlight a command and press X (PS5) or A (Xbox) to edit it.
  • Then press and hold the button you want to rebind it.

Inputs will be automatically removed from their default mappings if they’re already assigned. A message will appear at the bottom of the screen telling you which buttons are currently unassigned.

While the Star Wars Jedi series has some elements of FromSoftware’s Dark Souls series, its default controls are more akin to a character action game like Ghost of Tsushima, where the face buttons perform general attacks and the shoulder buttons perform blocks, parries, etc.

However, being able to fully remap and edit controls in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor brings the game closer to the feel of the Souls series, making the combat feel even more inspired by that franchise. It’s good to see rebinding return. For more, head over to our Jedi Survivor guides page
