Perfection is billed as “a simple, soothing puzzle game.” I must say, that description is spot-on. It’s a fun little game that’s not terribly complicated.
All you do is use your mouse to draw a line (or lines) across a shape. These lines become cuts as you try to trim the shape to fit into the outline you’re given for that level.
I found Perfection to be oddly calming. There are no penalties for messing up. You’re given an endless amount of time, and you can undo and redo cuts as many times as you want. Between that and the relaxing soundtrack, Perfection becomes a nice way to relieve stress.
Oh, yes, the soundtrack. It’s beautifully synthesized, and oh yeah, they’re giving it away for free on Bandcamp. It’s definitely going on my iPod.
I really loved playing Perfection. It’s definitely going on my list of games to buy. For anyone else who might be interested, it’s on Steam, and a free demo is currently available.
