Sony at last revealed the PlayStation 5 price and release date during its big September PS5 showcase.

The PlayStation 5 will release on November 12 in the U.S., Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand, and on November 19 everywhere else. Pre-orders open September 17.

The standard, disc-based PlayStation 5 will cost $499.99, while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will cost $399.99.

Sony said earlier in the year that each PlayStation 5 system comes with a DualSense 5 controller and Astro’s Playroom as a pack-in game.

The PlayStation 5 U.S. release date is two days after the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S global launch date of November 10.

It’s not clear yet whether games like Yakuza 7 that were moved up to launch with the Xbox Series X will also launch on PlayStation 5 on November 12, but we are getting a clearer idea of the PlayStation 5 launch lineup.

Geoff Keighley announced Demon’s Souls remake will be a PS5 launch title.

Insomniac also announced that Spider-Man Miles Morales will be a PS5 launch title and will release on PlayStation 4.
