There are six egg types in total: Stone, Earth, Leaf, Sky, Water, and Wood eggs. Most of these eggs are hiding in plain sight, and we’ve described how to collect them below.

You can find six types of eggs over the course of the Bunny Day event:

  • Stone Egg
  • Earth Egg
  • Leaf Egg
  • Sky Egg
  • Water Egg
  • Wood Egg

Each one is gotten by different means, and we’re going to go over them all.

How to Get Eggs for Bunny Day in Animal Crossing New Horizons

There are a limited number of eggs available every day, and you’ll need a great deal to craft all the Bunny Day-exclusive items.

Most of the egg types are limited to a daily amount on your island, but you can also get extras from Mystery Islands.

Another way to gain bonus eggs is by talking to villagers. If a villager runs up to you this week, it’s best to take the time for a chat because they just might give you five free eggs.

Stone Eggs

Stone Eggs are found by breaking rocks open, or hitting rocks across your island with your axe or shovel as you do to get stone or Bells from them. To break rocks, you’ll need to eat fruit to increase your stamina.

How many eggs drop is based on luck, and as many as eight can drop from one stone. Rocks can only be harvested from once per day, so it’s best to find as many as you can.

Earth Eggs

Earth Eggs are found in dig spots around your island, indicated by cracks in the ground just like with fossils. You’ll simply need your shovel and some time to explore your island for the diff spots.

Not every dig spot guarantees an egg, so it might take a few tries to get some. Simply approach a dig spot with your shovel in hand and press A. Each dig spot will only supply one Earth Egg.

Leaf Eggs

Leaf Eggs are found in trees, and they’re pretty easy to spot because they take place of fruit on trees. If you take a trip around your island, you’re likely going to spot a few trees containing Leaf Eggs.

Simply approach the tree and shake it to make the Leaf Eggs fall to the ground. Each tree will supply three Leaf Eggs.

Sky Eggs

Sky Eggs are a thing of timing and luck. These eggs are found in the floating presents that randomly spawn on your island. You’ll have an easier time finding Sky Eggs if you listen for the breeze that the presents make.

You’ll be able to spot the Bunny Day present once it’s in sight because the Sky Egg balloons are striped and colorful, unlike regular presents. Have your slingshot out and ready to shoot down the Sky Egg balloon by pressing A. Each present has a chance to contain one Sky Egg or a Bunny Day DIY crafting recipe.

Water Eggs

Water Eggs are found by fishing in bodies of water, and they are probably the most frustrating egg to find. Water eggs will look just like fish in the river, so in the spirit of fishing, it’ll take patience and time to find some.

However, Water Eggs have no daily maximum, so you can fish to your heart’s content.

Wood Eggs

Wood Eggs are found by taking your axe to a tree and hitting it, the same way you harvest wood from a tree. Up to three Wood Eggs can drop from one tree. Thankfully, our Islands are full of trees so there’s plenty of Wood Eggs to find in a day.
