Animal Crossing: New Horizons January Fish and Sea Creature List

Our January fish and creature list for Animal Crossing has all the new aquatic arrivals heading to your island this month.

It’s the start of a new year in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and a new month brings new fish and deep sea creatures — for some of us, at least. Quietness characterizes winter’s critter scene in Animal Crossing, but for players in the northern hemisphere, it’s downright sparse: January has a heaping helping of nothing new. But our southern hemisphere friends are getting into the busy season, with valuable fish just a cast away.

January Fish Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Northern Hemisphere)

There’s nothing new this month for the northern hemisphere, as mentioned. However, the usual culprits still lurk around in the rivers and sea, including the red snapper and black bass, and December brought a few new fish you can still find this month.

The sea is somewhat bountiful in the southern hemisphere in the new year. January brings only a handful of new fish in New Horizons, but some come with a lovely big price tag.

January Sea Creatures Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Northern Hemisphere)

Just like with the fish, there’s nothing new or noteworthy in January’s New Horizons sea creatures for the northern hemisphere. Fortunately, many of the underwater surprises are available all year, including the scallop and pearl oyster.

January Sea Creatures Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Southern Hemisphere)

January brings three new sea creatures to stick in those southern hemisphere museums.
