Bounties for Bugs

The first contest they introduced was a $100 bounty to anyone who could find a hack or glitch that impacts gameplay or server stability on one of their official servers. The very next week they bumped that up to a nice $200. This contest is still going on if you want to pop in and see if you can break their game.

Community Crunch Contests

There are currently two community crunch contests going on right now, the Arkitect and the Arkart contests.

Arkitect is a weekly $100 prize for creating the most unique base or structures with their current build system. There have been some pretty amazing entries into this category so get your creative juices flowing.

ArkArt is a weekly $50 prize for creating art with their new pixel painting system that has recently been added to the game. You might need to channel your inner Picasso to win this one cause the competition is fierce. The contest winners are announced every Thursday over at the Steam page for Ark.

Survival of the Fittest Tourney

The 1st of August commemorated the first of many tournaments the devs have planned. Survival of the fittest pits 35 2-man teams against each other in a death match that will immediately remind you of the beginning of The Hunger Games. After 4 long hours, the top 3 teams made off like bandits with the 1st place spot taking home a massive $20,000.

Alienware Modding Contest

Today Ark announced a new modding contest in which users compete for a $15,000 grand prize to see who can come up with the most amazing mods. To throw some sprinkles on you will also get a new Alienware Area-51 and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti. I can’t wait to see what they coome up with next.

I will keep you updated as more contests become available. Stay tuned to Ark’s announcements page and check out GameSkinny’s Ark guides and ways to make the most out of your gaming experience.
