If you’re trying to get the Blood of Lathander, you don’t need the Dawnmaster’s Crest. However, having it will make grabbing the legendary mace easier. In this guide we’ll go over how to get the Dawnmaster’s Crest in Baldur’s Gate 3, and how to make the process easier.
How to Get the Dawnmaster’s Crest in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Dawnmaster’s Crest is a well-hidden item in Rosymorn Monastery, but you won’t use it until you’re in the crèche. You can pick up the crest when you’re working on the “Find the Githyanki Crèche” questline. As you explore the Rosymorn Monastery, you’ll likely come across a room with a broken stained-glass mosaic on the ground and four pedestals. However, only one pedestal has a weapon on it.
This starts the Ceremonial Weapons side quest, which will lead to you receiving the Dawnmaster’s Crest as a reward. To get the Ceremonial Weapons, you’ll need to head to the following locations. You’ll also need a mace, but any one will do.
- Ceremonial Battleaxe: (X:105, Y:45) behind the Enchanted Door
- Ceremonial Warhammer: (X:78, Y:41) in an eagle’s nest on the roof
Go back to the room with the mosaic and:
- Put the warhammer on Dawnmaster Seed’s pedestal.
- Put the battleaxe on Dawnmaster Vaseid’s pedestal.
- Put the mace on Dawnmaster Stockhold’s pedestal.
When the items are in their correct places, the wall opens to reveal a hidden portion where a pouch sits. Open the pouch and take the Dawnmaster’s Crest.
That covers how to get the Dawnmaster’s Crest in Baldur’s Gate 3. Although it requires a bit of back and forth through the monastery, being able to easily get the Blood of Lathander is worth the time.
