The Best Artifacts for Each Character in Genshin Impact

There are 88 characters in Genshin Impact as of update 4.8. That staggering number of choices means that they all have to share a couple of dozen Artifact sets, as, despite their variety of aesthetic, nationality, and element, you can neatly organize every Genshin character by their role: DPS, sub-DPS, and Support. You can technically also sub-categorize them within their role depending on their kit, but for the sake of space (and, frankly, my sanity), I’ll be listing only the best 4-piece set for each character.

And with that, you know the best Artifact sets for every single character in Genshin Impact. Which stats you need and how to build them and their teams are, of course, specific to your needs and how you have fun in the game, so this guide is only a starting point. Artifact farming is the much-maligned true endgame of Genshin, and you can spend what is likely an infinite amount of time trying to get even one perfect piece for a single character out of 88.

Finally, don’t worry too much about following the meta or the best-in-slot options for the characters you play. If there’s a different Artifact set that you think works better on your DPS — or whichever role they play — then don’t let anyone tell you to stop using it. The same is true when rolling for limited characters. If you like the design or playstyle of a very off-meta option, then you should totally pull for them. Genshin Impact remains a game, and games should be fun.
