There are many different weapons to choose from when you’re looking to kill Fell, wildlife, and Scavengers. With such a variety, it can be hard to narrow down which ones to keep, equip, or toss. These are the best weapons to wield in Enshrouded.
How Weapon Levels and Rarities Work in Enshrouded
In general, there are only a few truly unique weapons in the earlier stages. Believe me: I’ve looked. Most weapons are named, but you can get them in various rarities. Always equip the rarest weapon you have. It has more Enhancement potential than the more common versions.
There are five weapon types you can wield in Enshrouded:
- One-handed Melee
- Two-handed Melee
- Bow and Arrows
- Wand
- Staff and Spell Charges
In addition to the rarity, each weapon also has a level, maxing out at Level 30. The higher the weapon’s level, the higher the damage. You can revisit the location where you first found a blade to see if you can loot a rarer, leveled-up version.
What are the Best Weapons in Enshrouded?
Wailing Blade
This is by far my favorite early-game weapon in Enshrouded. It’s a one-handed legendary sword that was forged years prior by the Blacksmith. You get a little lore when speaking to him if you have it. To find it, head to the Scavenger’s Stash cave south of the Alchemist Ancient Vault.
It primarily does bludgeoning damage, but it also does slashing and piercing damage when fully enhanced. On top of that, the tip glows as if it was just pulled from the forge, which makes a helpful torch replacement in dark and dangerous areas.
Twin Soul Mace
The Twin Soul Mace is my late-game weapon of choice. It only deals one melee damage type, but it can be devastating when mixed with a Critical Hit build. It also has health leech and health regen, perfect for someone like me who struggles with dodging or parrying. I found this legendary mace south of Willow Crush in a chest near a Shroud Root.
Guillotine
I received the two-handed battle axe as a legendary when first defeating the Fell Thunderbrute Elixir Well boss. For those who prefer damage-heavy weapons, this is a great option. Not only can you block with it, but you can Parry with it, too. This is extremely helpful since it’s a pretty slow-swinging weapon.
Ornate Wood Bow
The legendary Ornate Wood Bow has a fast draw speed, doesn’t cost any Stamina to use, and has damage equal to other bows. It’s great for Assassins or those who prefer stealth with its double increase to backstab damage for a total of 40%. It also works well with armor that increases Critical Hit Chance and Damage for an even deadlier arrow.
Scorching Wand
I’ve always been partial to Fire Magic over Ice or Lightning spells. This Scorching Wand is the perfect weapon to fulfill that desire. It’s also great against the poison-spitting plants you encounter in the Revelwood. It has a fast attack speed along with Mana Regen and 20% Overcharge. Enhanced, you could throw in a little Ice damage for some hot and cold action. You’ll also get the ability Mana Leech, which has a chance to restore Mana based on damage.
Shephard’s Lightning Staff
The Shephard’s Lightning Staff is pretty awesome. It has power comparable to a Bow. Enhanced, it gains up to 15% Critical Hit Chance and 20% Critical Hit Damage. Like the Twin Soul Mace, this can do massive damage with a full Critical Hit build.
Like Bows, Staffs need ammo to work. Spells are found in the wild or can be crafted at the Alchemist. They mostly focus on damage, but there’s also a healing one. I personally prefer Chain Lightning and Fireball 2 since I stock a lot of potions and fruits for health.
Undergrowth Staff
The Undergrowth Staff has the highest power level I’ve seen of any other Staff. At Level 18, it has 37 Power, on par with similar leveled melee weapons. It’s also the only legendary Staff I’ve found. This comes at a cost, however, as it doesn’t have any ways to enhance it. I can only imagine a Shroud Meteor sent out of this, though.
Those are the best weapons to get and use in Enshrouded. If you need help figuring out how to heal, what foods to take when you go exploring, or how to awaken the Craftspeople, head to our guides vault.
