The Wandering Wight is a spirit that you’ll encounter during Chapter 1. Once you have absorbed its spirit, it’ll provide a powerful ability called Faithful Kowtow. However, this boss is missable if you don’t kill him before performing a specific action. Here’s a Black Myth Wukong guide that discusses what to do if the Wandering Wight spirit disappeared during your playthrough.
What to Do if Wandering Wight Disappeared in Black Myth Wukong
The Wandering Wight in Black Myth Wukong will disappear if you have knocked the bell three times before beating it or absorbing its spirit. Unfortunately, if you didn’t beat this boss beforehand, you can do nothing to bring it back on your current save. Instead, you’ll need to start the game over and beat him before progressing again.
However, suppose you beat the Wandering Wight spirit but progressed before absorbing its spirit. In that case, you can rest at any Keeper’s Shrine and select the Retrieve Spirits option to automatically absorb any spirits you left in the world, including the Wandering Wight’s spirit. Not absorbing his spirit will most likely happen if you don’t have the Blessed Gourd or learned how to absorb spirits when you defeated him.
Where to Find the Wandering Wight in Black Myth: Wukong
You’ll find the Wandering Wight spirit in the Forest of Wolves during Chapter 1. To reach this spirit, you’ll want to head to the shrine at the Outside the Forest location. Then, you’ll want to pass the wolf enemies, cross the bridge, and turn left, where you’ll find this boss wandering the area. Remember, the Wandering Wight spirit won’t show up if you progress the game by knocking the bell three times, and there is no way to undo this action.
Now that you know what to do if the Wandering Wight disappeared, you won’t miss out on a potent ability. Check out our Black Myth Wukong hub for more guides like How to Fix Crashing Issues in Black Myth: Wukong to stop those pesky issues preventing you from playing the game!
