Little Kitty Big City is the brand-new cozy cat game and it’s perfectly made to be enjoyed with a handheld device. With that in mind, players are wondering whether it’s available on the most popular handheld options. So, can you play Little Kitty Big City on Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch?
Is Little Kitty Big City on Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch
Little Kitty Big City is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One/S/X on May 9, 2024 and you can even play it on the Steam Deck. The game was developed with handheld controls in mind so when I played it on the Switch it felt great mechanically. I haven’t played the 1.0 Steam Deck version yet but I have played the Little Kitty Big City Demo on Steam Deck and it controlled great.
That said, the Steam Deck version did have a few performance hiccups but I hear those have been ironed out by Double Dagger Studio. The main issue was the average FPS of 40 in the Demo version which has been fixed now. As for inputs and responses, they felt fine, and camera control worked well.
So far the Switch version is running smoothly. There are some janky animations like when looping around yourself or when running into certain objects but that’s not a major issue. Overall Little Kitty Big City feels like it was made to be enjoyed on a handheld device. The game is about 6 to 8 hours depending on your play style and completion so you won’t have to charge your Switch or Steam Deck that much.
So can you play Little Kitty Big City on Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch? Yes, absolutely, you can enjoy the game on both platforms. For more Little Kitty Big City guides, check out all Chameleon locations.
