Cyberpunk 2077 2.0: How to Increase Solo Skill

Use heavy weapons and get into the thick of the fray in Cyberpunk 2077.

There are several abilities that you can level up in Cyberpunk 2077. One known as the Solo skill focuses primarily on getting up close and personal with your enemies. Our guide discusses how to increase Solo skills as you progress further in the campaign.

How to Increase Solo Skill in Cyberpunk 2077

You can increase Solo skills in Cyberpunk 2077 by making use of heavy weapons, blunt weapons, unarmed fists, and the Gorilla Arms cyberware. These armaments include:

  • Shotguns
  • Light machine guns
  • Heavy machine guns
  • Hammers
  • Clubs

The more you use these armaments in combat, the faster you’ll rank up with this particular set of abilities. Likewise, I suggest being on the lookout for certain shard items that you might spot as you’re exploring. In some cases, these shards can also boost your Solo skill.

Tips to Level Up the Solo Skill

As mentioned earlier, only selected types of armaments can boost your Cyberpunk 2077 Solo skill further. Here are some of the things that I was able to do during my playthrough:

  • I often used the Ba Xing Chong. Since this iconic shotgun also acts as a rocket launcher, I was able to take out numerous foes from a distance.
  • Even though I rarely used machine guns, I often picked up those that are mounted on turrets. Also, for those who own the Phantom Liberty expansion, you’ll want to defeat Colonel Hansen since he drops an iconic machine gun called the Wild Dog.
  • Since you’ll have to get into the thick of the fray when you’re wielding blunt weapons, I suggest allocating points to grab Body perks like Wrecking Ball, Quake, Adrenaline Rush, Pain to Gain, Spontaneous Obliteration, and Rip and Tear.

That’s it: that’s everything you need to know about how to increase your Solo skill in Cyberpunk 2077. For other tips and strategies, you can check out our PL guides hub.
