Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty – Prototype in the Scraper Guide

Acquire a key item from a former Zetatech employee in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

The Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Prototype in the Scraper gig is one of the side quests that you can complete as part of the expansion. It’s also quite notable, since it yields an iconic weapon depending on the decision that you make. Our guide discusses the mission’s objectives, as well as how to get the Ambition iconic weapon later on.

How to Complete Prototype in the Scraper in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

You can complete Prototype in the Scraper in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty by rescuing a man named Hasan. Here’s a quick summary:

  • This gig is part of a select few that are available early in Phantom Liberty‘s campaign. You’re told by your fixer, Mr. Hands, about these tasks, and you should see a marker in the Longshore Stacks area, which is in the southwestern part of Dogtown.
  • The goal is to eliminate the hostiles in the Scraper facility, then rescue Hasan.
  • You can then decide on what happens to him to conclude the quest.

Entering the Scraper Construction Site and Freeing Hasan

The Scraper Construction Site is in Longshore Stacks. Once you enter the alley, you’ll encounter several gangsters. You can eliminate them using your weapons, as well as by hacking the turrets nearby.

After riding the elevator to the top, you’ll battle more enemies. Eventually, you’ll encounter a man inside a prison cell. Talk to him and you’ll learn that his name is Hasan, and that he has the prototype from Zetatech. Look for the room with the servers and interact with the terminal to get the passcode to his cell. The one I got was 2753, though I can’t confirm if this is different for other players.

Hasan’s Fate and Getting the Ambition Iconic Weapon

Hasan will tell you that he knows a shortcut, and he’ll activate a bridge that leads to the opposite side of the platform. He also tells you that he has no plans of returning to Zetatech. However, you have the option to turn him in or set him free. A certain dialogue option will yield the Ambition iconic weapon, too. I suggest keeping a backup save at this point in case you make a mistake. Here are the options:

  • [Sit] “Prototype’s my responsibility now.” – Leads to an extended conversation.
  • “Fine. Watch yourself out there” and “We never met, understood?” – Lets Hasan go free.
  • The other options will cause him to get imprisoned by Zetatech once you leave.
  • “Calling the Fixer. No fast moves.” – This allows you to tell Mr. Hands that you’ll let Hasan go.

To get the Ambition iconic in the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Prototype in the Scraper gig, you must call Mr. Hands while talking to Hasan, then decide to free him. After the conversation, go to any drop-off point and place the prototype quest item therein.

Since you let Hasan go, he’ll be able to contact you later in the game. This leads to a short mission called Go Your Own Way. You’ll meet him in a secure location, and you’ll be able to pick up the Ambition iconic weapon. This tech pistol has a chance to inflict blindness when you hit targets.

That’s it: that’s everything you need to know about how to complete Prototype in the Scraper in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Don’t forget to do all the gigs for Mr. Hands to obtain the Sport R-7 Sterling vehicle. For other tips and strategies, you can check out our PL guides hub.
