How to Complete Plague Doctor Chapter 4 Failing Grade in Darkest Dungeon 2
The Plague Doctor’s Hero story in Chapter 4 starts off with the reanimated corpse of her former professor walking around her laboratory. He’s unsurprisingly bleeding, with each turn stacking DoT another increment. The only two action choices you have are to:
- Stabilize the Patient: This calms the professor for a period of time.
- Stitch: This action heals the professor and cures Bleed.
Don’t worry about Stabilizing the Patient. Instead, stitch him up until the Stab skill appears. Only then can you kill the professor and complete Failing Grade successfully. This may take a few times using Stitch and then letting his health fall low again until the option appears.
DD2 Plague Doctor Chapter 4 Reward
Once you’ve stabbed the professor to death, you’ll be greeted by the Victory screen. Completing Chapter 4 of the Plague Doctor’s background in Darkest Dungeon 2 rewards you with Cause of Death.
- DMG: Target Variable
- Cooldown: 2
- Target: Deals 75% of remaining, Bleed, Blight, Burn on Target as DMG
- Target: Remove Bleed, Blight, Burn
Cause of Death is a great skill if you’re heading into a boss fight where you’ll be stacking DoT that the boss can clear, such as the Librarian. Chapter 4 is also the last fight you’ll be doing for the Plague Doctor if you select her at another Shrine of Reflection.
