The Diablo 4 Acts of Atonement quest sees you saving a deserter from Inquisitors and has several phases. To stop the cruel plot, you’ll travel to Kehjistan, Gea Kul, and Caldeum Overlook. Of course, you’ll need to beat a boss, too. Our Diablo 4 Acts of Atonement quest guide outlines its objectives and how to complete it. There are some minor spoilers that follow.
How to Complete the Acts of Atonement Quest in Diablo 4
You can start the Diablo 4 Acts of Atonement quest by talking to Edgar, a deserter who was once part of Inarius’ and Prava’s forces. You’ll find him in the desert just south of Caldeum, in the region of Kehjistan. You can’t miss him since he’s the only quest-giving NPC in the area.
After talking to Edgar, escort him until he meets his merry band. Eventually, you’ll have to head to Gea Kul, which is in the southwestern corner of the map. If you’re tracking the quest, a marker should appear pointing you toward that location.
Acts of Atonement: How to Complete Justice Delayed
At this point, you’ll need to complete a subquest called Justice Delayed. Here’s what you need to do for the next phase of the Diablo 4 Acts of Atonement questline:
- Talk to the marked NPCs in Gea Kul, then speak to Edgar once more.
- You’ll learn of the location of Suna, whom you have to rescue.
- Enter the cellar and eliminate the Inquisitor.
- After Suna leaves, Edgar will tell you to meet him at Caldeum Overlook. Make your way to the cliffside area that appears on your map. Then, take out the hostiles. Edgar will tell you that the abuse has gone on for far too long.
An Unlawful Order: How to Find Osric’s Garrison
Edgar wants you to eliminate a commander named Osric. You’ll find him in the Caldeum Bazaar. Simply follow Edgar back into the city, then go left past the steps until you see several knights. Eliminate the enemies here, including the Penitent Knight. Another icon will appear, showing the entrance to Osric’s Garrison.
Inside the garrison, you’ll have to battle Osric. He’s not particularly tough, though he’s surrounded by several knights and worshipers. In my case, I was playing a Necromancer, which meant that my minions did most of the damage while I just hung back until the fight was over.
Diablo 4 Acts of Atonement Reward and Conclusion
With Osric defeated, Edgar will thank you by giving you his own armament: a rare polearm called Edgar’s Penance, a weapon for Barbarians. Apart from having a unique name, I also noticed that it adds +60 Strength, which is great for the class.
Moreover, you’ll get the challenge completion tally for this. You’ll gain +30 Kehjistan renown, leading you one step closer to obtaining more renown-specific rewards.
Last but not least, if you read the note in the cellar, it shows that Mother Prava was the one who promoted Osric. It seems that something nefarious has seeped into the hearts of Inarius’ followers, given the despicable acts that have been committed in Caldeum.
And that’s it. That’s everything you need to know about the Acts of Atonement questline in Diablo 4. For more tips, walkthroughs, and strategies, our Diablo 4 tips hub has you covered.
