How to Complete the Bastion of Faith Dungeon in Diablo 4

Bastion of Faith Dungeon Location

The Diablo 4 Bastion of Faith dungeon can be found in the Hawezar region. Specifically, you’ll want to use the Zarbinzet fast travel point. From there, go to the northern end of the Umir Plateau sub-zone.

How to Collect Animus from Animus Carriers

Your first objective upon entering the Bastion of Faith dungeon is the collection of Animus (i.e., small purple motes/flame orbs). The layout is akin to a cathedral, so expect some holy-type enemies (they’re definitely corrupted). I personally suggest making sure that you watch out for Penitent Knights since these armored brutes pack a punch.

In any case, the Animus is held by specific targets, which all have demon horn icons on your minimap. After taking out these elites, don’t forget to pick up the motes that they drop so that you can place them in an urn.

In the next area, you’ll have to find a Mechanical Box, a small object that’s located in one of the corners of the map. You can then bring that to a device that gets activated.

Slay All Enemies

Once you’re done with the above objectives, you’ll have to take on the last encounter in the Diablo 4 Bastion of Faith dungeon. Oddly enough, I didn’t battle an actual boss here. Instead, I ended up in a small room where numerous Cultists, Heralds, and Knights spawned.

Close-quarters combat can lead to a few headaches, especially if the elites have Suppressor affixes. In my case, I did the following:

  • I made sure to prioritize the Hellcaller Herald due to its buffing spells.
  • I kited the Penitent Knights back to the previous corridor. Funnily enough, their size made it impossible for them to move around. That led to an easy kill even though their Suppressor affixes would’ve shielded their cohorts from projectiles.

Trickshot Aspect Reward and Effects

Upon clearing the encounter, you’ll receive the Diablo 4 Trickshot Aspect as a reward. It has the following effect: “Whenever Penetrating Shot damages an enemy, two additional arrows split off to either side; these arrows deal 10% of Penetrating Shot’s damage and do not split.”

Basically, given that there are numerous packs and hordes that you’ll face throughout the game, the Rogue’s Penetrating Shot will create additional projectiles. That gives you more DPS, which is perfect for ranged combat. Likewise, since you’re already in the area, you might as well clear the Endless Gates dungeon, which has a perk reward for the Druid.

And that’s it. That’s everything you need to know about beating the Bastion of Faith dungeon in Diablo 4. For more tips, walkthroughs, and strategies, our Diablo 4 tips hub has you covered.
