The Erimans’s Pyre Stronghold in Diablo 4 is a fiery fight that’ll have you taking down multiple mini-bosses, and one final boss to bring justice to a citizen set ablaze. It’s recommended that players are level 40 or higher for the stronghold, however, this probably depends on your world setting.
How to Clear the Eriman’s Pyre Stronghold in Diablo 4
Diablo 4 Eriman’s Pyre Stronghold Location
The Eriman’s Pyre Stronghold sits south of Kyovashad, between the Tree of Whispers Waypoint and the Wjinhani Waypoint. We marked the location on the map above so you can find it easily. The Tree of Whisper Waypoint is slightly closer, and you can pin the location of the Stronghold on your map to see a path toward it on your mini-map.
Once you enter the Eriman’s Pyre Stronghold, you’ll face a few enemies. After you’ve eliminated them, you’ll need to Speak with the Spirit of the Pyre. You’ll see someone chained up in the center of the main area, this is who you need to interact with.
After a brief, and foreboding, introduction by Eriman, you’ll be faced with your first mini-boss, the Fiery Fallen Overseer (Elite, Mortar). After defeating the Overseer, Villagers’ Remains will drop as loot, pick it up and place it on one of the Fiery Focuses. The Fiery Focuses are the four points surrounding the center, and you’ll notice that you need a few more Villagers’ Remains.
Kulgi Gorethief (Vampiric), Syn Plaguespew (Elite), Mal’gushu Rotthruster (Poison Enchanted), and Rishikana Goretaint (Plaguebearer) are the remaining mini-bosses in the branching sections of the Stronghold, and it doesn’t matter what order you complete them in. The mini-bosses will be accompanied by a horde of enemies, so be prepared for a fight.
Each mini-boss will drop Villagers’ Remains, and after extinguishing each Fiery Focus, a new area of the Stronghold will become available. Eriman will begin to throw fire damage AoE attacks around the Spirit of the Pyre area, so you’ll need to dodge those to place the rest of the Remains. After you’ve completed all four Fiery Focuses, place the final Villager Remains’ on the Spirit of the Pyre. This will spawn the final boss, Duz’Agur, Erimanes Bane.
How to Defeat Duz’Agur, Eriman’s Bane
Duz’agur will constantly be casting a fireball AoE attack that you’ll need to grapple with while you fight him. However, his more damaging attack is a linear attack that will rapidly deplete your health if you get in its way. Even though it packs a punch, it’s pretty easy to avoid because you can see the spell’s path before it’s cast.
Duz’agur will drop health potions after each branch of his health is depleted, so you’ll have a few chances to replenish your potion supply throughout the fight. After defeating him, you’ll need to rekindle the Wanderer’s Shrine to conquer Keiron’s Pyre.
The Wanderer’s Shrine can be found in the northwest branch of the Stronghold. It’s a stone archway that you can interact with, and once you’ve done so, you’ll have conquered Eriman’s Pyre.
I was rewarded with 100 Fractured Peaks renown, XP and gold tailored to your level, the Oblivion Dungeon, and some loot made it all worth my time. Additionally, there’s an Altar of Lilith to find in the Stronghold. If you proceed to the northeast corner of the section with the Wanderer’s Shrine, you’ll find a transversal area to duck under. The following small area has an Altar of Lilith to unlock.
