There are 30 Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4. You can run them either in solo mode or as a team in each of the five regions. At the end of each run, you get some Renown and a legendary aspect that is exclusive to each dungeon. Our guide will provide you with a tier list of the best Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4, including their locations and rewards.
Diablo 4: S-Tier Nightmare Dungeons
Aldurwood
- Location: Scosglen, The Shrouded Moors
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Offensive Aspect of Reanimation
Aldurwood is short and sweet, and we strongly recommend saving your Sigils for repeatedly running this dungeon. The Aldurkin enemies can be quite challenging here, as well as the Den Mother boss, but once you run this dungeon a few times, they won’t be a problem for you, either as a solo player or as a team.
Blind Burrows
- Location: Hawezar, Fethis Wetlands
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Offensive Aspect of the Tempest
Blind Burrows aren’t as simple as Aldurwood in terms of layout, but it has a rather weak boss Broodguard, and some completely anemic Infested Villagers. Although spiders can be annoying, this dungeon is great for farming, especially for Druids.
Diablo 4: A-Tier Nightmare Dungeons
Champion’s Demise
- Location: Dry Steppes, Untamed Scraps
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Resource Aspect of the Umbral
Champion’s Demise is another example of a great dungeon for farming, but with a predominantly puzzling design. It’s more intricate than Blind Burrows and makes you slow down here and there, which I wouldn’t recommend doing in a Nightmare Dungeon of any sort. You’ll also have to deal with Cairn Defiler and Khazara Abomination, which can be quite aggravating.
Crusader’s Cathedral
- Location: Khejistan, Caldeum
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Stormshifter’s Utility Aspect
This dungeon is divided into two parts. The first one is very easy and straightforward, and you should make it through in no time. But once you enter the second part, I urge you to stay closer to its edges. That’s where you can quickly defeat all Blasphemests, and soon you should reach the Tomb Lord. This may not be the best dungeon for farming, but play it at least once to get that excellent aspect.
Sunken Ruins
- Location: Scosglen, Northshore
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Offensive Aspect of Ancestral Force
Sunken Ruins are quick and easy, although the area is quite tight, which may not be to everybody’s liking. Also, there’s no final boss at the end, but you’ll need to defeat some Skeletal Constructs on your way. We recommend this dungeon for Barbarian players, who can get one of the most important aspects of their class in the game as a reward.
Witchwater
- Location: Hawezar, Blightmarsh
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Prodigy’s Resource Aspect
Here’s another dungeon with a pretty straightforward layout, but the enemies can be tough, including snakes and spiders. The final boss Slither can be rather troublesome with all of his Stun and Immobilize spells. That’s why I wouldn’t recommend this dungeon to all classes except Sorcerer, who can really turn this dungeon into a walk in the park.
Diablo 4: B-Tier Nightmare Dungeons
Conclave
- Location: Kehjistan, Southern Expanse
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Resource Aspect of the Changeling’s Debt
Conclave is hard, but at least there’s no boss at the end. The Cultists are pretty dangerous and there’s only one class that can really benefit from running this dungeon, which is Druid. But other than that, there’s no point in coming to Conclave except to collect that resource aspect.
Kor Dragan Barracks
- Location: Fractured Peaks, Sarkova Pass
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Utility Aspect of Anemia
This is one long dungeon, so it’s not recommended for repeated runs. However, Barbarian players should visit Kor Dragan Barracks at least once to get that Utility Aspect of Anemia. There’s no boss here, but there are lots and lots of Skeletons and Vampires that can get on your nerves a bit too fast.
Serpent’s Lair
- Location: Hawezar, Blightmarsh
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Offensive Aspect of Three Curses
Here’s another dungeon full of Cultists and Snakes, but this one should be run by Sorcerers due to the reward aspect. Fortunately there’s no boss at the end, and the layout of dungeon is quite easy to follow. What makes this dungeon troublesome is the extremely tanky Animus Carrier enemy.
Whispering Pines
- Location: Scosglen, Highland Wilds
- Rewards: +30 Renown, Ballistic Utility Aspect
The last dungeon on our list is quite basic in terms of design, but there’s the Spiritcaller of Squalls boss at the end. What makes this dungeon a bit too slow is the requirement to defeat all enemies, which may take a while. But Druid players should definitely check it out at least once for that Ballistic Utility Aspect reward.
