Dark corridors. Creepy moons. Terrifying monsters. If you’re like me, you want to be as immersed in the horror as possible. I say bring on the bunker spiders and the Jack in the box! So, does Lethal Company have VR support to crank up the immersion? Here’s the answer.
Lethal Company VR Support Explained
There are plenty of virtual reality horror games available right now — some have official virtual reality support, while others rely on mods to stream the terror straight into your eye holes. Phasmophobia is a popular one, but there’s also Arizona Sunshine, Resident Evil 7 (and RE4), and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer for this great asset. Right now, there’s no official VR support for Lethal Company. Bummer. I’ve checked high and low, and while there’s the possibility that this will change in the future, developer Zeekerss has its focus on other elements for the time being.
The game is still in Early Access, after all, and while it’s alarmingly fun — especially with friends — there are still quite a few things to add as it makes its way to its 1.0 release, such as full controller support. For now, it doesn’t seem like VR support is a priority for the smaller studio.
However, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible for you to head into dark, scary reaches of space with your friends while using VR. At least on the horizon.
Unofficial Lethal Company VR Mod Support
A mod by DaXcess / rodabafilms to enable VR for Lethal Company is in progress but hasn’t been released. While it’s unavailable right now, Flat2VR on X (formerly Twitter) shared some early footage of the mod. There’s no information about an expected release date, but it does offer hope if you want to challenge bunker spiders face-to-face. Or dance with your friends while gathering supplies in space.
While it could release on NexusMods, there’s a strong likelihood this will drop on Thunderstore, where most other Lethal Company mods live. With that in mind, here’s how to use the Thunderstore mod manager (though you could just go rogue on install them without the manager; that works, too).
And that answers whether or not Lethal Company has VR support. This might not be a feature you want if you’re afraid of spiders (unless Zeekers adds in an arachnophobia option somewhere down the line). But while you wait for virtual reality support, check out our LC guide hub for more topics like how to move furniture and all ship decor or how to get and use the radar booster.
