Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Guide: Saiyan Build

Check this guide for building a Saiyan character in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2!

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2‘s iconic Saiyans have massive appeal. You can make a few options based on your direction, Awoken transformation, and even gender. Below, I break down the best Xenoverse 2 Saiyan build and why. Pair it with my guide on Racial Bonuses to get a better idea of the bonuses Saiyans get.

Stat/Attribute Point Build

Saiyans have male and female versions, which alter their stats slightly. One thing they share, though, is high attack power and low health.

Males are better at physical attacks, but their supers are not as strong. However, Females have better Ki and Stamina recovery and can activate Z assists more at the expense of lower health; while this does not mean you have to build your characters this way, it can help. I’ll give an example of a male Saiyan build, then the female build I currently use.

These factors also take into account the boost you get from the Guru’s House that lets you raise stats to 125. If you need help accomplishing that, make sure to check out my Conton City guide. From there, the max level is 80, and you get 332 attribute points to put in.

Male Saiyan

  • Health – 18
  • Ki – 42
  • Stamina – 42
  • Basic Attacks – 125
  • Strike Supers – 0 or 105
  • Ki Blast Supers – 0 or 105

To create a solid Xenoverse 2 Saiyan build, Male Saiyans have more health than Female Saiyans, so you can use QQ bangs to raise these and others. Ki and Stamina should be 42 because you will gain a bar of each every 42 points. Basic Attacks are their biggest strength, so maxing that is a good idea.

You should focus on 1 of the supers, so 105 in 1 of those and 0 in the other. Their super attacks are weaker, but that doesn’t mean they’re worthless, as focusing on 1 can overcome that weakness.

The normal Super Saiyan transformation that can go to Super Saiyan 3 would be your best choice because it raises your physical damage the most. With current mods that include villain gauntlets, the higher the damage, the better.

QQ Bang

The main thing you want is something that does not lower Ki, Health, or basic attacks by much. If you can, get one that raises all of these.  Thankfully, you do not need a lot of Ki, but you will want at least 5 bars so you can go to Super Saiyan 3.  Basic Attacks are your best stat as well, so be sure to raise that. And Health will be pretty low, so raising that is also important.

Below is an example of a decent Level 3 QQ Bang to use.

  • Health +4
  • Ki +2
  • Stamina -2
  • Basic Attack +3
  • Strike Super -1
  • Ki Blast Super -2

Female Saiyan

dragon ball xenoverse 2 female saiyan build stats
  • Health – 30
  • Ki – 30
  • Stamina – 42
  • Basic Attacks – 105
  • Strike Supers – 0 or 125
  • Ki Blast Supers – 0 or 125

In hindsight, my above picture is incorrect. This is because I started this before I realized I wanted Ki Blast Supers and how the points affected Ki and Stamina. The main focus was to put health higher because Female Saiyans have lower health than Male Saiyans.

Ki is 30 because it still gives me enough to have at least 5 bars and 42 stamina because it gives me an extra bar. I wanted basic attacks to be decent as well because I wanted to be able to do decent damage when I’m not using supers. I also raised Ki Blast to the max because I liked using them more, but Strike Supers will also work.

Super Saiyan or Super Vegeta works great with this build. But only do Super Vegeta if you are going Ki Blast Supers — and even then, Super Saiyan 3 is still a good option if you are going to use a lot of basic attacks for your Xenoverse 2 Saiyan build.

QQ Bang

Again, you don’t want to lower Health or Ki by much since you need those. Also, make sure to get one that raises whichever Super you are using. Below is the one I use for a Ki Blast build.

dragon ball xenoverse qq bangs stats chart
  • Health +1
  • Ki -1
  • Stamina +-0
  • Basic Attack +5
  • Strike Super -4
  • Ki Blast Super +3

It’s crucial to note that for this Xenoverse 2 Saiyan build, I use Super Saiyan 3. This offers a huge attack boost and a decent boost in my Ki Blast Supers. The only thing that is lowered significantly is Strike Supers, which i don’t use at all. Only losing 4 points in Ki keeps me at 5 bars as well, so I can do the Super Saiyan 3 transformation. While this build is perfect for my play style, it’s important to always play to your strengths but always boost the areas that are weakest when making your own Xenoverse 2 Saiyan build.

That’s all for my Saiyan build guide for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Let me know if you have any questions or builds of your own!
