If want to improve your base, you need Resin. It’s not hard to come by, but if you’re like me and want to light up your base like a Christmas tree, you need a lot in your coffers. Here, I’ll tell you how to get more Resin fast in Enshrouded.
How to Get Resin Quickly in Enshrouded
To get Resin, chop down a tree using an axe. Enter your inventory crafting menu and use x4 Twigs, x1 Stone, and x1 String to build an axe. This works well early, but craft the Scrappy Axe (Felling Axe) after freeing the Blacksmith.
Regardless of what axe you use, you get x1 or x2 Resin when a tree falls. It doesn’t matter if you chop down a small skinny tree or a large, thick tree. The chances of getting Resin are roughly the same and governed by RNG.
Note that during my testing at this point in Enshrouded‘s EA phase, a few trees dropped x2 Resin, but it was rare and only happed with larger trees. Sometimes I didn’t get any Resin (also a rare occurrence).
So if you want to get Resin fast in Enshrouded, I recommend chopping down all of the smaller trees you can. They require fewer axe hits to fall. Since almost every tree gives you x1 Resin, chopping down small skinny trees is the fastest way to farm Resin.
What is Resin Used for in Enshrouded?
To use Resin, craft a Workbench using x8 Wood Logs and x3 Sting. This unlocks the recipes that use Resin: base illumination items. If you want to light up your base at night, you can craft Standing Torches and Wall Torches to do so.
Resin can also be used for decorative furniture items if you want to spice up your base. I made a few Benches using Resin and Wood and put them around my Flame alter for a cozy campfire vibe. Finally, you also need reason to craft a Staff (bring out your inner wizard to use magic).
