Fae Farm‘s Frozen Friend quest puts you to work across the village, in the ruins, and then at your farm. Each item needed for this quest takes some time and effort to get or make. The three Polished Sapphires are annoying enough, but the five required Frost Beets can be even more trouble if you haven’t been playing around with Magic Crop Swap Fertilizer. In this guide, we’ll go over how to get Frost Beets in Fae Farm to complete this quest.

You have to do a little extra work to grow these Fae crops, which is exactly what Frost Beets are. You can only grow Fae crops at your Fae Acres farm, if you’ve cleared out the miasma, or on Fae Soil Beds at your regular farm.
You’ll need to buy Turnip Seeds from Holly in town as your base seed for Frost Beets. You’ll also need Magic Crop Swap Fertilizer, which you can either buy from her at Level 3 Farming or above for 50 Gold Frlorins. Otherwise, craft them yourself.

As a reference, here’s what you need to make ten bags of fertilizer all at once. It’s a steal compared to having to buy it:
- 1 Ammonite
- 1 Frog Sweat
- 1 Mulch

How to Make Fae Soil Beds
You’ll need to make your own Fae Soil Beds if you intend to grow Frost Beets on your regular farm instead of Fae Acres. You can craft them using the following components:
- 1 Flutterwood
- 1 Shade Jelly
- 1 Spriggan Leaf
How to Get a Spriggan Leaf
You’ll need your own Spriggan to start collecting these leaves. Reyglor sells them for 400 Gold Florins, after which you need to take it to a Fae Pen in Fae Acres. Caring for it will grant a Spriggan Leaf, as with other animal materials.
How to Grow Frost Beets
Whether you’re growing the beets at your village farm or Fae Acres, most of this portion of the process is the same. The only difference is you need to place your Fae Soil Beds on your farm if you’re trying to grow Frost Beets at home.
Simply plant your Turnip Seeds on viable plots and douse them in Magical Crop Swap Fertilizer. Confirm using the icon at the top of their plots that they’ve changed from Turnips to Frost Beets. You may have to use the fertilizer multiple times on a single crop, as it’s not guaranteed to work.
That’s how to get Frost Beets in Fae Farm. If you did everything right — which you surely did — you’ll be able to complete the Frozen Friends quest in no time! Now that you know how to get Frost Beets in Fae Farm, consider checking out some of our other guides.
