Fae Farm is a farming RPG that feels unique in its whimsy, but you’ll still find some familiar elements like growing hybrid flowers. You’ll need to grow a pink flower for Rosalind’s ‘Pretty in Pink’ quest, but the game won’t tell you how. Here’s how to grow pink and hybrid flowers in Fae Farm.
How to Grow Pink and Hybrid Flowers in Fae Farm
Rosalind, the flower merchant, will give you the ‘Pretty in Pink’ side quest once you get acquainted. She can be found east of Azoria’s town center at her flower stand. The quest will require you to grow a pink hybrid flower for her experiments, but she won’t tell you how. When asked to grow a hybrid flower, I immediately thought of Animal Crossing New Horizons and its hybrid flower system. So I tested a similar method, and it worked. Here’s how to grow pink hybrid flowers in Fae Farm.
- Construct x9 Basic Soil Beds.
- Place them in a 3×3 square grid on your Homestead.
- Plant white and red flower seeds in the center of each outer edge, leaving the corners and middle of the square empty.
- Water the seeds for four days.
- Flowers will bloom on the fourth day, but leave them alone.
- After a few more days, pink hybrid seeds will sprout.
- Water the seed sprouts until they mature.
You’ll follow the same system for growing any variety of hybrid flowers, simply swap out the colors. After you’ve successfully grown a pink hybrid flower, you’ll simply pluck it and turn it into Rosalind to complete the ‘Pretty in Pink Quest’.
I recommend you continue to grow and experiment with hybrid flowers after the questline. Hybrid flowers sell for 25 Florins each compared to the 15 Florin profit of standard flowers, so they’re an easy way to keep your Homestead profitable. Additionally, flowers will remain in season, so it’s worthwhile to plant your beds with hybrid flowers in mind.
