Before launching a Nuke in Fallout 76, you must complete the main story quest, I Am Become Death, which will teach you how to launch a nuke. After that, you can launch a Nuke whenever you want, as long as you have the appropriate materials.

Here’s how to launch a nuke in Fallout 76:

  1. Get a Nuclear Keycard for one of the three Silos
    • To do so: Start the Nuclear Keycard Escort mission from the Surveillance System Terminal in the Whitesprings Bunker
  2. Go to nuclear silo Alpha, Bravo, or Charlie
  3. Enter the appropriate Nuke Code into the Nuclear Terminal
  4. Pick an area to drop the Nuke
