Kumbhira Skin and Kumbhira Leather are some of the new crafting materials introduced in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. Like most materials, if you don’t know how to get it you might have a bit of a struggle, but luckily that’s what we’re here to help with. Here’s everything you need to know.
How to Get Kumbhira Skin Leather in Final Fantasy XIV
In order to craft Khumbira Leather, you’ll first need to get your hands on the skin. Kumbhira Skin drops from a crocodile-like monster of the same name, which is found in Thavnair in The Shroud of Samgha area around (X:29.7-Y:25).
Keep in mind that each Kumbhira you kill only has a chance of dropping Khumbira Skin, it isn’t guaranteed. That’s why there are two other methods to utilize.
The easiest method, by far, is heading to the Market Board and simply searching for Kumbhira Skin. Of course, you can also skip the skin and just buy Khumbira Leather. Both already have a ton of players selling it on the board.
If you don’t want to spend the gil, however, you can use Bicolor Gemstones to purchase Khumbira Skin from the Gemstone Trader in Thavnair near Yedlihmad aetheryte at (X:25.8, Y:34.7). Each one will cost two Bicolor Gemstones, and you can earn them by completing FATEs.
Now if you want to craft Kumbhira Leather, you’ll need to have four Khumbira Skin, eight Earth Crystals, and one Eblan Alumen. The Eblan Alumen can be gathered through quarrying in Garlemald around (X:20.6, Y:28.9), or purchased from the Market Board. Just keep in mind you’ll need to be a level 86 Leatherworker to make it.
