We’re all getting tired of the sound of the linkpearl emote in Final Fantasy XIV by now, but what if you had your own linkpearl emote to spam and annoy friend and foe alike? That would even things out, surely!
You can’t just get an emote with this much annoying potential by just doing a short side quest; adding it to your emote collection will take some effort. In fact, the way you get the linkpearl emote is through one aspect of the game most players try to ignore: the PvP.
How to Get the Linkpearl Emote in FFXIV 6.3
Yes, we all know you only queue for the PvP roulette for the combat class EXP and actually hate doing it. But you’ve got to do it if you want this emote, as the linkpearl emote can only be obtained by reaching Level 5 in the current PvP season, Series 3.
Reaching Level 5 in the Endwalker 6.3 PvP series grants the Ballroom Etiquette – Discreet Discussion book to learn the linkpearl emote.
Luckily, it doesn’t actually take that long to get to Level 5. Daily PvP roulettes will get you there after a short time if you make sure to do them, but you can also just queue for Frontline or Crystalline Conflict to rack up the PvP EXP you need to get there. Crystalline Conflict is the faster option to gain PvP EXP, as each match only takes a few minutes, and winning in either mode grants more EXP than losing.
The Ballroom Etiquette – Discreet Discussion book cannot be traded, and so you can’t buy it on the Market Board either. You must take the dive into PvP to get this emote while it’s still available, which it very well may not be come patch 6.4.
That’s all you need to know about getting the linkpearl emote in Final Fantasy XIV. If you found this guide helpful, check out our other FFXIV guides.
