The most populous race in all of Eorzea, the Hyur are a human like race of average stature compared to the other races. They have the most diverse culture of any of the races, including different languages and traditions. The Hyur separate into two different clans: the Midlanders and the Highlanders.

The Midlanders

The Midlanders get their name for their clan’s long tradition of settling in low-lying regions. This clan comprises over half of Eorzea’s Hyur population, and have established themselves in every city within the realm. They are observed living lives as diverse as their heritage. The Midlander stats are as follows:

  • Strength: 21
  • Dexterity: 19

  • Intellegence: 21
  • Mind: 18
  • Piety: 21
The Highlanders

The Highlanders gain their name from the clan’s history of dwelling in the mountains of Gyr Abania. Compared to the Midlanders, the Highlanders are noticeably larger in build and stature. Many Miqo’te lead solitary lifestyles, with males in particular who shy away from contact with others. The two Miqo’te clans are the Seekers of the Sun and the Keepers of the Moon.

Seekers of the Sun

The self-proclaimed Seekers of the Sun have a preference for the warm light of day, as is apparent in their reverence for Azeyma the Warden, goddess of the sun.
