Genshin Impact: How to Use Sorush and Solve Sorush Puzzles

Unlock Surosh's full potential and complete mini-puzzles in Genshin Impact with the help of this guide.

Sorush is both a gadget and companion in Genshin Impact. This floating Pari nymph has a lot of untold powers, making her integral to your journey as you explore the northern reaches of Sumeru. There are plenty of puzzles that implement her abilities, and you’ll want to not only know how to solve them, but also how to harness her talents to the fullest extent.

How to Use Sorush in Genshin Impact

You’ll meet Sorush while doing the Khvarena of Good and Evil quest chain. She has a haughty attitude and she tends to be dismissive toward Paimon (rightfully so). She acts similar to a gadget in that you have to equip her via the menu, which means you won’t be able to use the Kamera at the same time.

As for Sorush Puzzles in Genshin Impact, these are tied to various actions. You’ll undertake many puzzles while going through the quest chain, though others are part of general exploration, as well.

Limited Flight: When activated, you’ll control Sorush instead of your character. She’s able to fly in the air so you can see your surroundings, though you can’t stray too far from your character.

Floating Flowers: Sorush can interact with certain objects in the game world, such as nodes that turn into flower platforms.

Four-Leaf Sigils: These are red grapple points. The difference is that Sorush can interact and move them to a new location in mid-air, allowing you to zip across to a different destination.

Udumbara Pistils: These look like heart etchings on walls. Sorush can cause a flower to pop and, if your character is able to reach it, you can pick up an Udumbara Pistil item.

Plume of Purifying Light: Think of this as akin to time trial challenges. These are symbolized by a tulip icon on the minimap and, once you start the challenge, Sorush has to fly and gather the particles to earn a Plume of Purifying Light. These are subsequently used for the Amrita Pool/Heart of Amrita.

Fravashi Trees: This Genshin Impact Sorush Puzzle is part of the Pale Fire sidequest. As you explore, you’ll notice tree husk icons on the minimap. Approach these to reveal a Pari nymph, who’ll then give you a task (i.e., kill all enemies, collect all particles, and the like).

Nirodha Fruit Bombardment: By picking up glowing Nirodha Fruit, Sorush can bombard corruption on the ground. One key example is when you’re doing the Asipattravana Itihasa quest.

Sunyata Flowers and Amrita Mayflies: You might stumble upon fields with flowers. As Sorush passes through them, they’ll bloom and spawn additional ones. If it’s nighttime, though, you’ll need to use Amrita Mayflies.

Khvarena Barrier: At certain key moments, Sorush can create a barrier that blocks all projectiles.

Amrita Seals: These are golden barriers that block your path. Sorush will be able to interact and remove these as you progress further in the Khvarena quest chain. Specifically, this occurs once you’re able to do the As the Khvarena’s Light Shows segment.

And that’s how to use Sorush in Genshin Impact, as well as how to solve her many puzzles as you progress through the 3.6 content update. We have more tips and tricks guides, as well as walkthroughs over in our Genshin Impact guides hub, so head over and take a look!
