If you’ve just picked up the latest game in the World of Assassination trilogy, you may be wondering how many missions are in Hitman 3. The short answer to that question is it depends.
If you’re just playing the base game, you’ll have fewer missions and locations when you begin, and if you’ve imported other levels from the two previous games via the various Hitman access passes, you’ll have quite a few more.
For the base game, Hitman 3 has six missions and six distinct locations at release, in this order:
- Dubai
- Dartmoor
- Berlin
- Chongqing
- Mendoza
- Carpathian Mountains
Five of those missions and locations are the relatively wide-open sandboxes fans have come to expect of the series, while the last one is a lot more linear, garnering mixed reactions from those that have had the chance to make it to the end.
All Hitman 3 missions include a number of challenges, including assassination challenges, discovery challenges, target challenges, feats, and what are called “Classics,” which include sniper and silent assassin tasks.
Four of the six missions further include Mission Stories, which are unique storylines that include their own set of special objectives, making it so each of the missions can be replayed multiple times in myriad ways.
If you’ve purchased the previous two games in the series, Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2, you can import all of the missions from those games, as well as their expansion contracts, into Hitman 3, taking the mission count well north of 20. You can do this by picking up the Hitman Access Passes, which we outline here.
Note that even if you haven’t previously purchased Hitman or Hitman 2, you can still buy the Access Passes for the price of each game and import the missions into Hitman 3.
