The developers are sparing no expense of time or effort to perfect the “Versus” PVP mode for us in Warhammer: Vermintide 2, and you could be among the few to test it before release. Here’s how to access Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Versus Alpha.

How to Participate in Warhammer Vermintide 2 Versus Testing

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Versus PVP mode has not been released yet, but the developers are dusting it up for launch by holding several rounds of closed (and possibly open) testing. The only way to participate in the testing of Versus, is to sign up for a PlayTest via the Warhammer official site. Note, this is only for PC players.

Vermintide 2 Versus is an asymmetric 4v4 PVP+E game in which players compete on various adventure mode maps to complete objectives. We will compete as Skavan specialists known as the Pactsworn, featuring different class types like Mercenary, Battle Wizard, Waystalker, and more.

The Closed Alpha testing is finished, having been held in February 2024 and ending at the start of March. However, the devs have already announced several changes they are making to the mode based on the feedback they received on the first round of testing. They will also hold another test in the near future. To stay up-to-date, you can follow them on their official Twitter, @VermintideGame, or their website (linked above).

The next round of testing, according to the devs, will feature new map rotations, an adjustment to the skills and abilities of the characters, premium careers, and so much more. Don’t miss out on the chance to sign up, or wait and see if it becomes open to the public!
