How to Beat the Awakened Custodian Battle Pet in WoW: The War Within

If you’re looking to add to your collection of battle pets, then a new expansion is the perfect time to do so. That also means there are new trainers around to compete against for quests. Here’s how to beat the Awakened Custodian Battle Pet in WoW: The War Within.

The Awakened Custodian is a new Battle Pet that you need to defeat to complete the Robot Rumble world quest. You can find him at the location circled on the map above. The world quest might not show up on your map until you’re next to him. For this fight, you only face the Awakened Custodian. As a Mechanical pet type, he takes increased damage from Elemental types, but reduced damage from Magic types. Keep this in mind when you set up your pet team.

Right now, the strongest pets against the Awakened Custodian are fire-based pets, such as Molten Corgi and Lil’ Ragnaros. Lil’ Ragnaros, in particular, is able to solo the Awakened Custodian, especially if you get a critical hit against him. Other pets that are strong against him include some Undead options, such as Ikky, Unborn Val’kyr, and Foulfeather. Of course, you want your pets to be Level 25 when you fight any world quest pets.

Can You Capture the Awakened Custodian?

As for capturing the Awakened Custodian to have one for your own collection, that’s unfortunately not an option at this point in time. Even if you get his health low enough, you can’t try capturing him as he’s an uncapturable pet. Hopefully, there’ll be a version of this pet in the future that can be added to your pet collection. At least you can get other pets in the meantime, such as the Mossy Snail or the cute Fallowspark Glowfly.
