If your main pawn’s inclination you chose during pawn creation doesn’t suit your playstyle anymore, you can change it. Perhaps you want to switch from the outgoing Straightforward pawn playstyle to a more conservative, Simple one or any other combination. Here’s how to change pawn inclination in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Can You Change Pawn Inclination in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Yes, you can change your pawn’s inclination in Dragon’s Dogma 2. I changed my pawn’s inclination by talking to Neomith at the Pawn’s Guild in the capital city of Vermund and purchasing an Inclination Rift Incense. I marked his location on the Vernworth map above. Essentially, all it takes is a few simple steps, so here’s how to do it:
- Go to the Pawn’s Guild.
- Start a dialogue with Neomith.
- Choose “Buy.”
- Pick any Inclination Rift Incense you want, like Straightforward, Simple, etc.
- You need RC to buy one (You get this currency from other players who hire your main pawn, but you can also find it in the world as loot).
- Once you bought the one you want, you’ll need to set up camp as this is the only way to activate it.
- I just went to the first campfire outside of Vernworth and started a camp.
- Finally, open your inventory and use the Inclination Rift Incense you bought.
Your main pawn will now adopt a new inclination and start behaving accordingly. This will change their playstyle as well as dialogue options, but they’ll, of course, keep their visual appearance and voice. That said, the prices for these Rift Incenses are quite steep for the early game RC budget so choose wisely.
That concludes my guide on how to change pawn inclination in Dragon’s Dogma 2. For more Dragon’s Dogma 2 guides, check out how to change character and pawn appearance, as well as the best pawn vocations.
