Here's how to ferment an alcoholic beverage in Fallout 76!

A timed challenge you must complete in Fallout 76 requires you to ferment an alcoholic beverage. However, you must first obtain the fermenter before you can do that. While the game doesn’t explain how to get it, the process is super easy. Here’s how to obtain the fermenter and how to ferment an alcoholic beverage in Fallout 76.

  • Interacting with the Pi Mus wild eviction party poster to start the Wasted on Nukashine quest in Fallout 76

To obtain the Fermenter plans, you must first complete the Wasted on Nukashine quest in Fallout 76. To start this quest, you must interact with the posters hanging at Morgantown, VTU, train stations, or bus stops in the area. Alternatively, if you can’t find these posters, or they don’t activate the quest, you can enter the Pi House, which should trigger it, or purchase the party poster from the Atomic Shop, place it in your C.A.M.P., and then interact with it.

Upon successful completion of the Wasted on Nukashine quest, you will unlock the plans for the Fermenter. It’s important to note that the Fermenter can only be built in your C.A.M.P. and not inside your shelter, so plan your construction accordingly.

How to Ferment an Alcoholic Beverage

After building the Fermenter, there will be ten slots you can use to ferment alcoholic beverages in Fallout 76. A short fermentation process will take 30 minutes, and the longer process takes 60 minutes. It doesn’t matter which one you use for the timed challenge.

The table below shows the type of alcoholic beverage you can ferment, what materials you need, and the benefits you will gain when drinking them.
