After a human is turned into a cocoon, you will see an icon of a cocoon appear on your map. When the Klown carries or throws the cocoon, you will see the icon move in the direction the Klown is heading, which is most likely to a Lackey Generator to hook it. In addition, you’ll see a cocoon icon appear on your screen when a Klown hooks a human on a Lackey Generator. This icon will show you the location of the Lackey Generator that the human is hooked on, so you can attempt to save them. The icon will continue to glow until the human dies.

Time is of the essence when it comes to saving a fellow human from a grim fate. From the moment they’re transformed into a cocoon, you’ll have a short amount of time to rescue them before they succumb to suffocation. When you reach the cocoon you’ll see a button prompt like in the picture above. It will take time to free the human from the Cocoon so make sure there aren’t any Klowns around. It’s a challenging task, especially if you’re not nearby or a Klown is actively carrying them, but it’s not insurmountable.

If you want to attempt to save the human being carried by a Klown, you can attack it and cause it to drop the cocoon. One way you can achieve this is by shooting the Klown in the nose to stun it, which will cause the Klown to drop the cocoon. You can then run over to the cocoon and pull the human out of it. If you are successful, you will earn an achievement/trophy called ‘Drop the Bag-, er…Cocoon!’ for doing precisely this.
