WoW SoD Phase 2: How to Get a Mount at Level 40

With your first mount, it’s easier and cheaper to grab the mount associated with your race. Otherwise, you must have Exalted reputation with another race to purchase and ride their mount. Each vendor and trainer are in locations you’ve likely visited while leveling, and some are inside capital cities. Here are all the mount vendor and trainer locations divided by faction.

Where to Get Alliance Race Mounts

For Humans, go to the Eastvale Logging Camp in Elwynn Forest (84, 65). Night Elves head to Cenarion Enclave in Darnassus (38, 15). Dwarves pick up mounts at Amberstill Ranch in Dun Morogh (63, 50). And Gnomes grab theirs from Kharanos in Dun Morogh (49, 48).

Where to Get Horde Race Mounts

Orcs go to the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar (69, 12). Trolls get raptors from Sen’jin Village in Durotar (55, 75). Tauren head to Bloodhoof Village in Mulgore for Kodo (47, 58). And finally, Undead go to Brill in Tirisfal Glades (59, 52).

World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Pahse 2 Mount Discounts

Naturally, mounts in Classic cost a chunk of gold. However, you can get discounts in two ways, each taking 10% off the cost for a total of 20%. One: be Honored with the faction you’re buying from. Two: be Rank 3 or higher in PvP.

And that’s how to get a mount in WoW SoD Phase 2. It’s convenient that the vendors and trainers are located in the same area to save you from running multiple places. From here, check out our guide hub for more topics like how to get the Cozy Sleeping Bag or where to find RFK in Classic.
