Common ingredients in various Cauldron incantations include flowers and vegetables grown from seeds in planting spots. To keep a steady supply of these resources, you’ll need plenty of planting spots, and though you start with two, you can get more. Here’s how to get more planting spots in Hades 2.
How to Unlock More Planting Spots in Hades 2
After you create your first two planting spots with the Flourishing Soil incantation using 1 Moly, there are two additional incantations to get more planting spots. I’ll show you how to unlock them and what materials you need to perform them:
- Rich Soil Incantation: This incantation grants you two more planting spots for seeds. You need 3 Lotus flowers for it. You’ll unlock the incantation once you reach the second area, Oceanus, after Erebus. You can find Lotus flowers randomly throughout Oceanus, and I picked up three in just two runs.
- Verdant Soil Incantation: This is the second and last extra planting spot incantation that grants you two additional spots. You’ll need 1 Wheat and 1 Garlic for it. I dug up the seeds for both of these materials using the Spade on the surface path in the first area called the City of Ephyra. To unlock the surface path, you need to play until you meet Hermes, who tells you and Hecate about the Siege of Olympus. Then, you’ll unlock the following incantations to be able to travel to the surface:
- Permeation of Witching-Wards: Unlocks the surface route for 1 Cinder, 3 Moly, and 1 Shadow (30 Ash, 30 Psyche, 3 Fate Fabric).
- Unraveling a Fateful Bond: Removes health drain on the surface for 2 Lotus, 2 Moss, 2 Nightshade, and 2 Thalamus.
That’s how you can get up to six planting spots in Hades 2. Now you can start farming for more advanced invocations, and you can even sell materials you don’t need at the Broker. For more Hades 2 guides, check out the best Boons of Hades to use against Chronos.
