Nightingale has you start your adventure with simple tools like a hunting knife, but as you progress in the game, you can craft ranged weapons like the Slingbow. Of course, you’ll need to get ammo for it, too. Find out how to get Slingbow ammo in Nightingale here.
Where to Find Slingbow Ammo in Nightingale
When I crafted my Slingbow, I was eager to go hunting for deer hide or attack enemies from the safety of distance. However, the game doesn’t tell you off the bat how to load your weapon, let alone get ammo for it. Eventually, I learned that the weapon doesn’t operate from arrows, but instead you craft Simple Rock Marbles at the Simple Workbench to use as ammo.
How to Craft Simple Rock Marbles
You need x6 Rocks (Crude Rocks) for each Simple Rock Marble recipe, and each recipe gives x20 Slingbow Ammo. The Crude Rocks can be found as small piles of stones throughout biomes. So, you won’t be using your pickaxe to harvest from boulders. Simply interact with the small piles of stones on the ground to harvest Crude Rocks.
How to Use Slingbow Ammo in Nightingale
Once you’ve got your ammo crafted, you’re ready to use it. However, once again, the game doesn’t tell you what to do. I tried dragging the ammo to my weapons hotbar slot and equipping it, to no avail. I learned that you have to equip the Slingbow in your and press “R” to load ammo into it while your character is holding it. You’ll need to do this for every marble slung, so be ready to reload after each shot fired. For this reason, I recommend you carefully choose when to use it in combat.
