The hidden blade is one of the most iconic weapons in the Assassin’s Creed series, so it may come as a bit of a surprise to some that you don’t start with one in Assassin’s Creed: Origins.
In fact, the reason you don’t start with the hidden blade is because the one you do receive later in the game is quite literally the first hidden blade ever used by a member of the Brotherhood (which doesn’t even technically exist at the time the AC:O takes place).
How to Get the Hidden Blade in Assassin’s Creed: Origins
Acquiring the Hidden Blade in Origins is pretty straightforward — you’ll be able to get it when you arrive in Alexandria, during the main story quest, “Aya”. (If you’re keeping count, it’s the fifth quest in the main questline, excluding the Prologue.)
Simply find and speak to Aya, and you’ll trigger a cutscene where she’ll present to you the first Hidden Blade.
As skilled as Bayek is with his bare hands, there are times where you just really need someone to die quickly and quietly, and a stealthy, unarmed takedown won’t be enough. However, with the Hidden Blade, you’ll be able to execute stealth-kills with the ease of a true assassin.
