The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zant’s Helmet is a unique/legendary gear piece that can be found in the Depths World. With it, you’ll gain a particular passive boon, as well as look like a villain from Twilight Princess. Here’s our guide to help you get Zant’s Helmet in TotK.
How to Get Zant’s Helmet in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
TotK Zant’s Helmet Location
The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zant’s Helmet can be found in the Scorching Coliseum, which is in the Eldin region of the Depths. Ideally, you should tag various Lightroots, while riding a Hoverbike to speed up the exploration.
Soon, you should discover the Katoij Lightroot. From there, you can make your way northeast to reach the Scorching Coliseum. The coordinates are; 2141, 3182, -0838.
Moreover, I suggest equipping an armor piece that has the Flame Guard perk, such as the one that you’ll obtain during the Eldin Regional Phenomena main quest. I’d also cite that the Vah Rudania Divine Helm is a decent option. The reason for this is that this area is close to lava flows, and the high temperature will slowly deplete Link’s health unless you’ve got Flame Guard gear.
How to Complete the TotK Scorching Coliseum Encounter
When you go to the center of the Scorching Coliseum, you’ll have to battle several waves of Moblins. These bigger brutes have stronger attacks compared to their Bokoblin cousins, but you can still rely on tried-and-tested tactics. For instance, you can use Yunobo’s and/or Riju’s abilities for AoE damage. Likewise, I can attest to the usefulness of Dazzlefruit as a thrown item, as it can temporarily stun your foes.
Throwing Bomb Flowers, however, is something that needs to be avoided entirely. Due to the extreme heat, the item will explode the moment you have it in your hand. You’ll get heavily damaged if you do this.
TotK Zant’s Helmet Stat and Effects
After defeating all the Moblins, you’ll be able to open the chest. This rewards you with the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zant’s Helmet. As mentioned earlier, its design is reminiscent of the villain from Twilight Princess. Moreover, it gives +3 armor/defense. Lastly, it’s got the Unfreezable perk.
The Unfreezable perk simply means that ice-based attacks, such as those from Keese and Gleeoks, won’t instantly freeze you. However, Link will still feel chilly in snowy areas, like Hebra and Gerudo Highlands. As such, you still need to have cold resistance gear or meals when you visit those places, since Unfreezable cannot counteract that effect.
