How to Put the Clock Talisman Together in Alone in the Dark

Move onto the Oil Rig section by completing this clock's puzzle!

At the top of the stairs in the Foyer is a large clock. Opening it reveals another disk that can be used with the Talisman. However, it’s missing two pieces. Here’s how to put the clock’s broken Talisman together in Alone in the Dark.

Once you reach the clock, you can solve the two puzzles to get the missing pieces in any order you want. One involves retrieving the piece from the Kitchen Garden, and the other includes solving the puzzle in Perosi’s room. I’ll cover these puzzles below in the order I just mentioned.

Retrieving the Kitchen Garden Piece

Head to the Parlor on your map, which is now available thanks to Batiste’s Keys. When you try to get into the Conservatory here, the room floods. However, this also spawns the Bolt Cutter on the table under the window by the barricaded door on the other side of the Parlor. Grab the Bolt Cutter and use it to get into the Conservatory.

From here, continue to the Kitchen Garden. Use the Bolt Cutter to get into the tool shed and grab the water hose there. Attach it to the water hose by the well, follow the hose to the faucet, and turn it on. This floods the well, bringing up the bucket with the piece in it and allowing you to pick it up.

Solving Perosi’s Puzzle

First, go to the Waiting Hall and unlock Administration with Batiste’s Keys. Inside, you pick up Perosi’s Key on the desk to your right. Next, return to the clock and go down the hall to your left. Perosi’s room is #6, which is the last door on the left. Inside, grab the paper from the bed and the journal from the couch in the corner.

Turn your attention to the row of paintings on the wall and flip the second, third, and sixth paintings to reveal the names William Arges, Franklyn Mosig, and Norah Keith. Now, look at the Artist Colony image with portraits of people and their attached names. This reveals the numbers associated with the names on the paintings, creating the code: 2-9-4. Looking at the journal from the couch provides the sequence: Pisces-Libra-Taurus. Put this sequence into the lock on the vanity and get the piece inside.

The last step is returning to the clock and putting your pieces in the disc. Move and rotate them until they’re each in the proper place, and look at the clock itself. Using the numbers on the three clock faces gives you the code: 6-4-3 to enter into the disc. Then, you move into the Oil Rig section of the game, completing the puzzle officially.
