Whenever any game has an RPG skill system, I always look for the option to reset skills so I can experiment with different builds. SSKJL is no different, with a modified Borderlands-style skill tree system across three columns. Here’s how to respec in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League.
Can You Respec Talents in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League?
First off, can you respec in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League? Yes, you can. Follow these steps to reset your skills and abilities in Hack’s Talents menu.
- Open the Talents tab in the character menu.
- Press the “Edit Talents” button (Triangle on PS5 or Y on Xbox).
- Navigate to a specific row of skills you want to alter.
- Select a different ability in that row.
- Press “Exit Edit Mode” button (Circle on PS5 or B on Xbox).
You can respec Talents, skills, and abilities for free at any time in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League. That said, the leveling process and skill system can be a bit confusing at first, so let’s explain it.
How Leveling Up and Skill Point Allocation Works for Talent Trees in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League
I noticed that you can’t progress through a single skill tree like in Borderlands. Instead, we must follow the game’s left-to-right progression through all three trees (which is quite strange, IMO). As you may have seen by now, there are three Talent columns for each character, where you can assign points when leveling up. However, the game assigns points automatically in each column, going left to right. You can’t choose which Talent tree gets points when leveling up.
For example, you get 1 point for the first column’s first row (Tier 1) at Level 1. You get 1 point for the second column’s first row at Level 2. And you get 1 point for the third column’s first row at Level 3. Then, at Level 4, you’re back to the first skill column, but now you get a point for the second row (Tier 2).
That said, you do get to choose which skill you get in each row/Tier if there are two or three options. However, you can’t go back to previous rows/Tiers. Overall, I like that Rocksteady made respecing free and easy to do for experimentation purposes, but I would’ve preferred the option to progress down a single tree or mix and match them in my own way.
But that’s how to respec in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League. For more SSKJL guides, check out how to switch and use Psyched characters and best characters to pick first.
