You and your pack of Ichthyosaurs must work together, with the Ichthyosaurs distracting the Shastasaurus, allowing you to begin the taming process.

Here’s how to create a pack of Ichthyosaurs in Ark: Survival Ascended:

1. Saddle one Ichthyosaur
2. Make three other Ichthyosaur follow the saddled one

You will then need to ride the saddled Ichthyosaur to the Shastasaurus you want to tame, and the others will follow you. After that, you must find the itchy barnacles attached to the Shastasaurus and harvest them with a sickle. You’ll need to repeat this process until you have tamed the Shastasaurus.
