You might notice a giant Cauldron when walking through the Crossroads in Hades 2. It allows you to make new Incantations that give you new abilities. However, you won’t be able to use it as soon as you find it. In this guide, I’ll show you how to use the Cauldron in Hades 2.
Hades 2: How to Unlock the Cauldron
The first time you enter the Crossroads, you’ll pass the Cauldron on your way to your next run, but you won’t be able to craft any Incarnations. You’ll unlock the Cauldron after your second run.
Although you can kill yourself fast and return to the Crossroads, I recommend trying to get as far as you can in your second run so you can gather material that can be used to make Incarnations. Once you have access to the Cauldron, there will be three Incarnations to craft:
- Fated Intervention – Beseech the Three Fates to lend their aid in a time of great need.
- Ash x2
- Molly x2
- Silver x1
- Summoning of Mercantile Fortune – Persuade the Wretched Broker to appear, with whom you may trade Bones for various resources.
- Bone x10
- Night’s Craftwork – Reveal Gathering Tools within the Silver Pool.
- Molly x1
I recommend crafting the Night’s Craftwork Incarnation first since it allows you to craft items like the Fishing Rod. It also only costs one Molly, which you can obtain in your first or second run.
You’ll unlock more incarnations as you progress through Hades 2. The more runs you do, and the further you can, you’ll get more useful Incarnations. However, they’ll require more rare items so make sure to check which each one requires.
