If you’re trying to make every crafting station as fast as possible, you’ll realize that for some of them, you’ll need some rare materials. That means traveling to distant and dangerous locations. In this guide, I’ll show you how to get and use Blastcore in LEGO Fortnite.
How to Get Blast Core
Blastcore can be tricky to get since it can only be found in Lava Caves. While you might have stumbled upon a normal cave easily, Lava caves are only located in a Desert Biome. Before entering these caves, place a map marker to mark its location. Once you’re in this special cave, you’ll need to find the Blaster enemies that drop Blastercores.
However, Lava Caves and Blasters are dangerous, so you’ll need to be prepared before you go hunting for your materials. I recommend having at least a Rare Sword since you’ll need to defeat the Blaster before it explodes. Having a Cool-Headed Charm is also useful since it gives you heat resistance. Blasters will deal fire damage when they explode, and you’ll be surrounded by lava.
If you don’t have the charm, you can also use a food item like the Snowberry Shake, which will give you temporary fire resistance.

How to Use Blastcore
The main thing you’ll want to use your Blastcores for is to make a Metal Smelter. This will allow you to refine metals and make things like Copper Bars and Iron Bars. These can be used to make better versions of tools. To make a Metal Smelter, you’ll need:
- x3 Blastcore
- x15 Brightcore
- x35 Obsidian Slab
