You’ll need to farm studs in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga for character and ship unlocks, special bonuses, and pretty much everything else. With the currency usually flying at you from all directions, it’s not always easy to know what gives you the greatest yield and where to go to farm more.
There are some tricks to farming studs in The Skywalker Saga. We’ve picked out a few of the best ways to get more in-game currency, including the stages that are most conducive to stud farming to make the process a bit less tedious.
How to Get More Studs Faster in Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga
If you’re familiar with past LEGO games, Star Wars or otherwise, you’ll have a general idea of how to farm studs; the same methods still apply here. Expect to replay stages a lot and then spend the studs you do find on items that help you get even more.
After completing a stage in Story Mode, you can play it as many times as you want in Free Play Mode, and there’s no reduction on the number of studs you can earn regardless of how many times you play a world or area. Farming studs in free roam and/or getting them from story mode collect in a single pool.
Buy Stud Multipliers
You likely won’t be able to buy stud multipliers for a while, since the Datacard upgrade for the first stud multiplier costs 1 million studs. Once you have enough studs – and datacards – piled up, though, it’s absolutely worth spending them on at least one or two stud multipliers. This is the most important modifier for stud farming and drastically reduces the time you’ll need to grind.
The least expensive ones double and triple the number earned, and if you ever find yourself with a spare 384 million studs, you can buy a multiplier that gives you 10 times the number for each value.
- x2 Multiplier costs x1 Datacard and 1 million studs.
- x4 Multiplier costs x1 Datacard and 2 million.
- x6 Multiplier costs x1 Datacard and 8 million.
- x8 Multiplier costs x1 Datacard and 48 million.
- x10 Multiplier costs x1 Datacard and 384 million.
It’s important to remember that these multipliers stack, as well. For example, x2 will become x8 when you buy the x4 multiplier (4×2=8).
Be Destructive
Break everything, and then break it again. Most destructible items can be rebuilt once, and they give up studs when broken and again when repaired. It’s the easiest way to get a lot of studs in each stage, which also nets you True Jedi status and some extra Kyber Bricks.
With that in mind, try to break most everything you come across as you make your way through a stage or The Skywalker Saga’s open-world hubs.
Violence is the Answer (for Bounty Hunters)
Bounty Hunter-class characters can purchase the Hidden Bounties class upgrade to get roughly 200 extra studs for every enemy they defeat. It’s best for combat-heavy stages, naturally, and the bonus adds up faster than you might think.
Complete Class-Specific Challenges
Most stages have a handful of class challenges, such as panels only droid characters can access, and overcoming these small obstacles earns you a few thousand each time. It’s not the absolute best method for farming studs, since you’ll only run into a handful of them in each level, but the number awarded with each makes them worth doing anyway.
Best Stages to Farm Studs in Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga
Busting bricks may be the best way to get studs in general, but three of The Skywalker Saga’s space stages actually have a better chance of netting you potentially tens of thousands of them each run, especially once you get a multiplier.
- Now This is Podracing (Episode I)
- Stay on Target (Episode IV)
- A Skip and a Jump (Episode IX)
The first two stages have a number of objects and enemy fighters to destroy. A Skip and a Jump does as well, though it also has roughly two dozen large pipes you can destroy and get a cache of studs from, including blue studs.
That’s all you need to know about how to get more studs in Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga, as well as a few stages that are conducive for farming the currency. You’ll want to have characters with the right abilities, too, so check out our guide on that, as well. Make sure to head over to our other LEGO Star Wars guides for more tips and tricks.
