Resin is a harder to find resource that allows you to build different structures, as well as upgrade your hide scraps. This is how to farm Resin in Lord of the Rings Return to Moria.
Where to Farm Resin in Return to Moria
Resin is a mined resource found in the Lower Deeps of the Mines of Moria. The resource has an orange hue to it and is found in Ihraz Granite veins. The granite, contrary to the white color it has in your inventory, is black in appearance. This makes Resin deposits look very similar to Coal ones. If it’s in the Lower Deeps and you think it’s Coal, double check, as it’s most likely to be Resin.
When you find a deposit, you’ll need to have a Tier 3 pickaxe or higher to excavate it. The First Age Pickaxe is what I use to get these deposits. You can also use the masterwork pickaxe, Quarrymaster.
In your inventory, Resin appears like a gem. It’s shaped like a teardrop and has a yellow hue. You can stack up to 30, with a single vein easily giving me that. Unless you’re building numerous crafters, you’ll only need more of it when making Hide. If you hunt Mountain Goat, Bear, or other beasts that drop Hide themselves, you most likely won’t need more than one full stack of Resin.
