Hello gamers. How are we enjoying Lords of the Fallen so far? I know I certainly am, minus a few sessions of wanting to throw the controller across the room. Now we’re onto our third boss in the graveyard, the Worshiper.
After finally finding Kaslo praying – I think – he gives us this whole little speech. I found it a bit offensive how he had the audacity to complain about setting me free because he dislikes “my methods.” What did I do? The last I checked, I’ve been slaughtering Rhogars, enemy warriors, spiders and the like. (Not to mention two previous bosses.)
I haven’t killed an innocent upon my release.
So what’s his deal? Looks like you’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t people, am I right? Talk about gratitude.
Upon entering the graveyard, the Worshiper makes his grand entrance like his previous predecessors. First two things you’ll notice are his huge scythe and that he throws what seem like magical grenades at you. The best way to avoid these is to put a good distance between the both of you.
The first ability you encounter is his spike summon . He throws this out when you’re a good distance from him, and it can be avoided. You’ll know it’s coming when he slams down his scythe sideways, then pulls it towards him. This will summon pools of blue mist which have a tentacle rising from them. Note that he only summons 4 spikes. These are slow, so they can be avoided by moving around.
After the first segment of his health is gone, he’ll put the base of his scythe into the ground and summon two blue orbs. These become two small and fast enemies – similar to those you met at the gate. Use the Worshiper against them since his attacks hurt them as well.
You’ll start to notice that after his first segment and other ones go down, the Worshiper falls to his knees and extends his left arm. DO NOT hit him. Just run away into the holy alcoves. When he does this, it means he’s casting a spell that will kill you instantly.
His third ability will incorporate his scythe directly by swinging it twice to kill you. This move can be blocked quite easily. After the second swing, he’ll stand still for a few seconds, so take this opportunity to get your attacks in. But wait, he’s not done yet! Once you see him raise his scythe, you’ll hear a roar. Move and get behind him fast as he’s summoning a stunning spell. Get in your attacks until he’s toast.
Keep watching for more tips and guides as I get further along in my Lords of the Fallen Guide Directory.
