Mass Effect Memory Core Puzzle Solution

Stuck trying to get Mira VI back online? Our Mass Effect memory core puzzle guide has the answers.

If you’re tackling the Mass Effect Noveria mission, then you’ve likely come across the Mass Effect memory core puzzle. It’s a tedious puzzle where Shepard has to move several “boxes” around to restore Mira VI and proceed with their mission.

The easy way around it is just to spend 100 omni-gel and be done with it, but unless you’re an Engineer or Infiltrator, you’ll want to save that omni-gel for other containers and locks later on. Lucky for you, our Mass Effect memory core puzzle solution guide has the answer you need so you don’t have to bust your own data cells.

Mass Effect Memory Core Puzzle Rules

If you want to try and figure out the puzzle yourself, the memory core puzzle has a few distinct rules to follow:

  • You can only move one box to another stack at a time
  • When you pick a stack box up, it automatically picks up the top box and replaces it in the top-most slot when you set it down
  • You can’t transfer any box to a slot where there’s a blue box above it
  • You can only pick up one box at a time

The puzzle is as annoying as it sounds, so we really don’t recommend trying it on your own.

The sequence to follow is long, and while the basic pattern is the same whatever platform you’re playing Mass Effect on, the buttons you’ll press are different.

With that out of the way, Mira VI comes back online and asks which challenge you want to take on first, Reconnect Landlines or Reactor Repair. It doesn’t matter what you choose, so you’re free to pick whatever.
